BOY
September Boy initially started out in 2012 as a folk project principally based on acoustic guitar and vocals, but has since developed more into the Pop- Folk genre, influenced by artists such as Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, Angus & Julia Stone, Cocoon, Dashboard Confessional and Jack Johnson.
Formerly, Luke played in a Indy-Punk Rock line-up who shared billings with the likes of Les Wampas, Pennywise(Los Angeles), Millencolin(Sweden), Anti-Flag (Pittsburg), International Noise Conspiracy(Sweden), Boysetsfire(New York)…among others.
These days September Boys’ formula is simple…one voice and one guitar, with Luke having already released two albums, as well as having numerous live concerts under his belt, during which time he has rubbed shoulders with national and international artists like Cats On Trees, This Wild Life (folk/pop – Los Angeles), Kevin Devine (pop – New York), The Appleseed Cast (rock – Arkansas), Garrett Klahn, The Flatliners (Canada), Ellen Cox (pop/folk – UK), Your Favorite Enemies (rock – Canada), Chris T – T(folk- UK), to name but just a few…September Boy has also chalked up several overseas appearances…in Madagascar during 2016… in Australia 2017, and more recently the Canary Islands and Berlin during 2018.
September Boy is currently preparing a new album for Springtime 2021, which will see Luke integrate more Electro overtones into his compositions, while the lyrics will continue to cover subjects ranging from Friendship, Love, Travel, and even Super-Heros.
